Oh, how I do enjoy writing this blog however, sometimes I can lose sight of why I set this blog up to begin with.

Last year, I reviewed a ton of indie games. Now, I adore indie games, playing and reviewing them is (usually) a massive joy. Looking back at last year, I feel I overdid the indie game reviews and other aspects suffered as a result. At times, I had 6 or 7 indie games in a backlog to get through. Way, way too many. This meant that I didn’t get to write several other articles that I wanted to. I already have 14 article drafts that I started but never finished and I didn’t do a Halloween or a Christmas special in 2023 due to a lack of time.

This year will be different as I’m going to balance things out a bit more. I’ll still do indie game reviews, but I’m only going to put review requests in for games that I really want to review and not just anything that comes my way. I’m going to focus more on some of the drafts that I have started and finish them.

I’ll most definitely have a Halloween special this year because I’ve already started writing it. It’ll be a big multi-part retrospective thing too. I’m going to cover more films and do more editorials/opinion pieces and fewer reviews. Plus, I’ve given my blog a bit of a face-lift with a new design for 2024… though I’ll probably still tinker with it over the weeks and months as I’m not 100% happy with it.

Well, I don’t have time to waste writing this article… I have several drafts to finally finish and publish.
